Database specialist Xynomix recently introduced support services for Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle (News - Alert) in its portfolio of services. This marks an enhancement in the company’s existing capabilities and service offerings. The company now provides database support, management solutions and managed services for both SQL and Oracle versions of database management systems.

Xynomix has always been known as an Oracle specialist and most of its existing capabilities are Oracle facing. It has an entire set of services that are focused at delivering Oracle Services ever since the company was founded in 2002. At the moment Xynomix has more than 100 clients on its roster for whom it provides comprehensive Oracle support and management services and these are spread across the UK. Apart from these the company also provides sundry Oracle related services to several hundred other organizations spanning across the nation.

The need to extend its support and management services to SQL Servers too were realized after it was noticed that an increasing number of enterprises were operating on both the SQL Server and the Oracle databases in a single IT framework. However, following a recent increase in demand, we have decided to formalize and market the offering as an integral part of our services portfolio.”

This is also in conformity to widespread belief among IT experts that both SQL Server and Oracle are enjoying mushrooming popularity levels when it comes to being globally adopted as enterprise class database solutions. Xynomix’ decision to include the support and management systems of SQL Server also under its gamut of service offerings definitely signals a strong trend in this direction. Xynomix hopes to bring up its share of SQL Server subscribers to the same level as its Oracle user customer base over the course of the next couple of years. They have also planned to augment their current staffing levels in order to keep up with the increased demands on resources expected.
