iland Internet Solutions Help Companies in a Sluggish Economy

For companies looking to reduce infrastructure costs and stabilize monthly IT budgets, iland Internet Solutions has introduced iland Cloud Services (iCS).

One of the ways to cut costs in these tough times is to fully utilize available resources. When it comes to IT however, many companies have unutilized or underutilized servers in their infrastructure that quietly eat away precious budget year after year. With the help of iCS, iland can create a snapshot of a customer’s physical environment and then encapsulate these systems and applications into virtual machines.

Once the systems are encapsulated into virtual machines, workloads will be consolidated from underutilized servers and they will be replicated on to high availability VMware Server Clusters. For companies, this means they do not have to invest in new servers and also save on power and space requirements within their network data centers.

“As the cost of data center space, support and power continue to rise relative to the total cost of ownership, the ability to migrate underutilized physical server capacity to virtual server clouds translates into significant savings,” said Scott Sparvero, CEO of iland Internet Solutions. “And with less physical servers and storage, our customers save on fewer data center racks, less heating and cooling costs, and enjoy ease of overall management.”

iland’s iCS allows the customers to add capacity on-demand and distribute multiple and diverse applications across iland's High Availability Data Center Hubs. Also, with the help of its geographically dispersed data center footprint, the company can provide hybrid hosting solutions including virtual servers, colocation, managed storage and high speed IP.

The company said it offers support for a variety of enterprise applications running on Linux, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL, Oracle (News - Alert) and SAP.

Back August, Telx announced that it leased a custom data center suite to iland Internet Solutions at 8435 Stemmons Freeway in Dallas, signaling a robust presence for iland with New York City-based Telx in the Dallas market.
