DS3 DataVaulting Partners with BackupAgent for Increased Data Security and Integrity

DS3 DataVaulting, a data management solutions provider, has reportedly signed a partnership agreement with BackupAgent, a global software vendor providing disk-based remote online backup and recovery solutions, to provide the mobile workforce with enhanced information protection and integrity.

 

Data security is one of the major issues faced by every individual and organization today with various reports about laptops being stolen or lost occurring daily.

 

DS3 DataVaulting offers offsite, online data backup and restores services to offer customers a solution that can rapidly and securely back up and restore files, databases and operating systems.

 

DS3 DataVaulting claims that it is the first company in North America to manage a petabyte of customer restorable data.

 

As per the terms of this alliance with BackupAgent, the DS3 DataVaulting Laptop Solution will be loaded directly onto laptops through a simple software download. With just a few clicks, the system automatically takes backup of data held on the laptop including corporate, personal and email (PST) files.

 

The solution also works with the free open source disk encryption software such as TrueCrypt.

 

In case of any data loss, it can be restored through the local laptop or even through a Web portal. Here, four levels of security is offered just to ensure that only authorized personnel can access and retrieve files through the Web portal.
