Fairfax, Virginia-based National Interest Security Company claimed Friday that it had acquired federal IT services firm, Multi-Threaded (MTI (
News -
Alert)).
NISC believes MTI’s expertise in data management, multi-lingual data exploitation and controlled interface development will expand their suite of integrated solutions.

However, NISC has not disclosed what price it gave for the purchase.
Herndon, Virginia-based Multi-Threaded provides systems engineering and software development solutions in support of document and media exploitation, multi-lingual data exploitation, and cyber security initiatives for the Intelligence Community and the Department of Defense.
NISC also supports the security initiatives of Homeland Security, Energy, and the Federal Health agencies.
“In building and expanding the NISC [National Interest Security] platform, our focus has been to support the mission critical requirements of our customers,” Campbell added.
National Interest Security is controlled by D.C.-based private equity firm, DC Capital Partners where Campbell also is president.
MTI's services and solutions help companies manage and analyze massive repositories of disparate data collected from intelligence operations around the world.
MTI’s data management solutions allow its customers to rapidly process, translate, retrieve, and analyze information.
”Agencies are faced with massive repositories of disparate data. It is critical to their mission that they have the ability to retrieve, process, and analyze information and do so in the context of cyber security,” NISC said in a statement.
Manuel Ordonez, founder and chief technical officer of MTI, said, "Our collective capabilities will allow us to provide the full continuum of technical solutions for our customer's most challenging problems."
