SITRONICS Installs Radio Relay Equipment for Shyam Telelink

INTRACOM TELECOM, a part of SITRONICS (News - Alert) Telecommunication Solutions business division, has completed the installation of INTRALINK radio relay equipment for pan-Indian operator Shyam Telelink's Rajasthan operations, SITRONICS announced today.
 
SITRONICS, within the framework of the $ 5.7 million project, has deployed point-to-point radio network comprising 580 connection nodes.
 
"We are pleased to announce the successful implementation of the project to support the expansion of Shyam (News - Alert) Telelink's operations in the state of Rajasthan. The installation of radio relay equipment has been completed in three months and is a testament to the Group's ability to successfully implement turnkey projects in new markets,” said Sergey Aslanian, president and chief executive officer of SITRONICS, in a statement.
 
“We are confident that our highly-competitive product offering and broad expertise in efficient equipment deployment will enable us to further strengthen our cooperation with Shyam Telelink and develop our presence in India through operations in other regions."
 
SITRONICS is a provider of telecommunication solutions, including software, equipment and systems integration, IT solutions and microelectronic solutions in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States with a strong presence in Central and Eastern Europe and a growing presence in the Middle East and Africa.

The company serves more than 3,500 clients, maintains offices in 32 countries and exports its products and services to more than 60 countries. SITRONICS has more than 11,000 employees, of whom about 4,500 are involved in research and development.
SITRONICS' key Telecommunication Solutions operations are based in Prague, Czech Republic and Athens, Greece, while the company's IT Solutions and Microelectronic Solutions divisions are based in Kiev, Ukraine and Zelenograd, Russia respectively.

They generated revenues of $926.8 million for the six months ended June 30, and had total assets of $ 2.2 billion at the end of the period. SITRONICS is majority owned by Sistema (News - Alert), the largest public diversified corporation in Russia and the CIS, which manages fast-growing companies operating in the consumer services sector.
 
SITRONICS had recently announced that INTRACOM TELECOM, a part of SITRONICS Telecommunication Solutions business division, has signed a EUR 122.5 million contract with the Romanian Ministry of Education, Research and Youth to deliver equipment for IT laboratories in more than 8,000 secondary education schools in Romania. The project will be implemented in cooperation with INTRACOM TELECOM's subcontractor, Siveco Romania S.A.

Within the framework of the project, INTRACOM TELECOM will supply infrastructure, which includes workstations and servers connected through structured cabling and networking equipment in local and wider area networks. Siveco Romania S.A. will provide multimedia equipment, educational software applications, as well as installation and training services.
