Pandora Corporation releases Pandora Recovery 2.0, Upgrade of the Data Recovery Tool

Pandora (News - Alert) Corporation has released the Pandora Recovery 2.0.1, the upgrade of its free data recovery tool. This release includes the most requested feature: FAT support. Pandora Corporation helps customers to monitor, control and protect their families and themselves online. The PC Pandora program of the company is an essential tool to keep children safe from predators and to shield them from harmful and mature content, to ensure integrity of relationships, online records, accounts and personal information.

Chris Graham, the chief software evangelist at Pandora Corporation, said: “Both FAT16 and FAT32 formatted drives are now supported in searches for lost data. This allows users to attempt recovery of files wiped out from digital camera cards, USB flash drives, Win98 and older WinXP hard drives.”

The Pandora Recovery 2.0 has additional features to make searching for and recovering lost or deleted data easier. The upgrades in this new release include support for automatic device insertion and removal detection. If a user wants to connect in a new device or drive while running the Recovery 2.0, the same will pop up right away. There is no need to close out of and restart the Recovery program, which had to be done in the case of the previous release in order to recognize the newly inserted drive. “Search Statistics”, “% Overwritten”, default ‘deleted items only’ view and 1 GB flash drive are the new features added to the “general information” list provided to the user.  Search statistics is a breakdown of the types of files found. The %Overwritten feature lets a user know the condition in which the files were found. The default deleted items only view allows only folders with deleted files or folders to be displayed in the browse tree. The 1GB flash drive is intended for Pandora Recovery Mobile purchasers.

According to James Leasure, co-founder of Pandora Corporation, “We’re going to keep working on it and expanding the list of potentially recovery files and data. Further updates to Pandora Recovery will focus on permanent data removal. We’d also like to help a person recover deleted emails- that’s on the lit for sure.”
