Joyent Signs Deal with NavLink to Deliver Joyent's Cloud Solution to Enterprise Customers

Joyent, a provider of cloud computing software and services, and NavLink, a provider of enterprise networking and cloud services, announced their partnership targeting both enterprise and telecom operator customers.

As per the strategic agreement, NavLink will offer Joyent's SmartDataCenter cloud infrastructure platform to its enterprise customers in the EMEA region from its data center in France.

The agreement also enables NavLink to license Joyent's cloud platform to telecom operators and service providers in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) to enable them to offer cloud services to their customers.

“We chose SmartDataCenter because of its clear differentiation from competing cloud software providers,” said Laurent Delifer, president and CEO of NavLink, in a statement.

“In addition to its technological advantages, Joyent has operated a profitable public cloud business for years. This partnership enables us to leverage their best practices to ensure rapid time to market,” Delifer added.

The main offering from Joyent's SmartDataCenter includes a high margin cloud infrastructure platform for service providers. NavLink offers hosting, cloud and managed services as well as architecture, deployment, and operational services.

Telecom service providers can strengthen their value-added service offerings such as M2M and mobile application services, and converge internal service provider IT and data operations using cloud solutions.

“NavLink brings years of experience and expertise providing managed services to their telecom and enterprise customers,” said Philippe Weppe, president of EMEA for Joyent. “We look forward to working with them to deliver the next generation cloud infrastructure platform to the Middle East.”

Recently, Joyent and TYAN, a server platform provider and subsidiary of MiTAC International, announced that Joyent validated two of TYAN's servers including the TYAN TN70-B7016 and TYAN YR290-B7018 Intel (News - Alert) based server platforms for use in Joyent's SmartDataCenter.
