Entuity Beta-Tests Eye of the Storm with Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c

Entuity, a provider of enterprise network management software and a Gold level member of the Oracle (News - Alert) PartnerNetwork, t has successfully beta-tested its flagship product, Eye of the Storm (EYE) Enterprise 2011, with Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c.

Eye of the Storm is a comprehensive suite of network management software encompassing inventory, event management, performance monitoring and reporting. It automatically and continually discovers and captures in-depth network data to provide insightful analytics, control, and predictability of network performance and availability.

EYE, integrated with Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c, enables Oracle Enterprise Manager customers to proactively monitor and assure application health by detecting potential network problems that may be affecting application service delivery.

They can get a top-down, segmented view of a network by grouping together physical and virtual network components that support a specific business function. Entuity utilizes the Oracle Enterprise Manager extensibility framework to deliver a network monitoring plug-in for Oracle Enterprise Manager.

"The Entuity  Plug-in for Oracle Enterprise Manager provides an increased level of visibility into the rest of the Oracle stack,” said Michael Jannery, president and CEO, Entuity, in a statement. “It helps the IT staff eliminate network blindspots and counterproductive blamestorming while increasing staff effectiveness by providing quicker triage and shorter mean time to resolve issues when they arise."

The integration provides a unique management platform spanning software, hardware and network elements, including the Oracle Exadata Database Machine and Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud, allowing enterprises to quickly detect network problems affecting application service delivery that are otherwise hidden from their view.

With Oracle Enterprise Manager integration, EYE pushes real-time network events, status information and metrics in an intelligent, filtered manner to the Oracle Enterprise Manager console. It also provides a mechanism to drill back down into EYE in context, thereby expediting incident resolution.

EYE Enterprise 2011 and the Entuity Plug-in for Oracle Enterprise Manager are available now from Entuity for the Oracle Solaris, Oracle VM Server for x86, Microsoft Hyper-V Server, Microsoft Windows Server, Red Hat (News - Alert) Enterprise Linux, VMware ESX and ESXi, and Citrix XenServer platforms, company officials said.

A previous version of this plug-in for Oracle Enterprise Manager 11g last year achieved Oracle Validated Integration status.

Earlier in August, Entuity announced the immediate availability of NetFlow Analyzer Enterprise Edition (NFA EE). NFA EE is an optional add-on to Entuity Eye of the Storm (EYE).
