SLPowers Ranked 38 among South Florida Businesses by Business Leader Magazine

SLPowers, a provider of information technology solutions, announced it has been named among the top 50 small businesses of 2011 in South Florida by Business Leader magazine.

The Business Leader magazine ranked the company based on three parameters including financial performance, business achievements and civic contributions.

SLPowers ranked 38 among South Florida businesses and 217 among the top 300 small businesses in the southeastern United States.

“As diverse as they are, our clients have one thing in common, and that’s a desire to offload the mundane back-end Information Technology tasks to qualified experts,” said Rory Sanchez, president and chief executive officer of SLPowers, in a statement.

“Well-run Information Technology departments know the activities they can outsource for the greatest benefit, and they rely on SLPowers and our trusted partners to have their backs,” Sanchez added.

SECNAP Network Security, a provider of information security solutions, is the partner of SLPowers.  Last year the company introduced its Rule18 Email Security and Privacy solution. SECNAP Network Security will be rolling out a new security solution, CloudJacket, through SLPowers, in September, company officials said.

Since traditional security products and fragmented strategies are not effective against next-generation cyber threats, the company is expecting good potential for CloudJacket that integrates a number of security solutions.

In 2009, SLPowers announced a “technology makeover” program worth over $25,000 aimed at South Florida small businesses, not-for-profit and charitable organizations. This was part of its 25th year anniversary celebration as an IT professional services company.

As part of the “technology makeover” program, the company awarded products and services provided, in part, by the company’s vendor partners including WatchGuard Technologies (News - Alert), Microsoft, Cymphonix, Hewlett-Packard and Anderson Telecom.
