onOne Software Unveils Perfect Effects 3

Photographers today look for many options to achieve their photographic vision. onOne Software, Inc., a company focused in developing solutions for professional and advanced amateur photographers, launched Perfect Effects 3, part of yet another launch: Perfect Photo Suite 6.

"We are excited to announce the upcoming release of Perfect Effects 3 as part of an update to the entire Perfect Photo Suite 6," Craig Keudell, president of onOne Software said in a press release.

 "Rather than build this as simply an update to PhotoTools, we removed any of those limitations and developed Perfect Effects 3 from scratch and created an effects engine that allows photographers to get a live preview of an effect or preset as well as a new foundation that allows them to use the product in any workflow without requiring a separate host application," Keudell added.

The new Perfect Effects 3 is noted to be the next generation of the PhotoTools plug-in with comprehensive and easy to use creative effects library along with live previews and advanced controls for customizing effects. Perfect Effects also comes with the new blending options and the ability to limit effects to the specific color or tonal range of an image.

A company statement clarified that the new Perfect Effects 3, along with the rest of the products in the Perfect Photo Suite 6, no longer requires Photoshop as a host application. Users can use any of the newest onOne products as standalone applications as well as accessing them from within Photoshop, Lightroom or Aperture allowing users to use these new products where they want. To further streamline workflows, users of Perfect Photo Suite 6 will now be able to move effortlessly between all of the individual products using the new Module Selector within Perfect Photo Suite 6.

Perfect Photo Suite 6, the new version of onOne Software's product suite just launched, is said to offer the best new tools for solving the most common problems faced by photographers today. This major upgrade introduces completely new products Perfect Portrait and Perfect Effects, Perfect Mask, the next generation of Mask Pro, Perfect Layers, in addition to favorites Perfect Resize, FocalPoint (News - Alert) and PhotoFrame.

Key Benefits of Perfect Effects 3 are: new library of professional effects, real time full screen previews, combining effects, blending options, masking tools, options of manual controls, and above all it integrates seamlessly into a photographer’s workflow of choice.

Planned for the commercial availability from October, the new Perfect Effects 3 can be purchased as standalone product for $99.95 and as part of the Perfect Photo Suite 6 for $299.95. Owners of Plug-In Suite 5 or earlier can upgrade to Perfect Photo Suite 6 for $149.95.
