Conjur Launches Version 4.6 of Security Orchestration Software

Conjur, Inc. recently announced some new enhancements to its popular security orchestration software, focused primarily on helping businesses transition their infrastructure to the cloud while maintaining integrity and security. Conjur’s software allows users to identify, authorize and audit essential aspects of the business such as virtual machines and containers as well as services, jobs and users. It includes support for a wide range of industry-standard platforms and tools such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), OpenStack, Cloud Foundry and Microsoft (News - Alert) Azure.

“Conjur provides a flexible solution that allows customers to solve their security dilemmas without sacrificing velocity or productivity,” said Mitch Haile, Vice President of Products at Conjur.

Version 4.6 brings robust capabilities for securely automating infrastructure, allowing businesses to be more efficient and productive without compromising any protective measures. A centralized hub allows for simplification and direct management of security policies across complex AWS deployments, with the ability to enforce consistent policies across the entirety of an organization and augment them with scalable security controls. An SSH jump server is used to control any access to cloud infrastructure.

New secrets management technology effectively eliminates secrets from source code and configuration files, further simplifying operations in the cloud. A comprehensive auditing and reporting modules can be wielded to obtain vital information about what’s going on with data and security policies, and integration opportunities with third party systems of record ensure that a complete solution can be easily employed. Finally, an updated user interface has been unveiled that accounts for all of this new functionality while updating the appearance of the software to match current design trends and continue eliminating hindrances to human and computer interactions.

“Through a centralized authorization service exposed through APIs, Conjur enables enterprises to apply a consistent set of policies for production, staging and test environment access throughout the entire software development cycle,” Mr. Haile continued. “These latest enhancements meet the requirements for the scalable, enterprise-grade secret management solution for organizations in highly regulated industries.”
