Adaptiva Releases Version 5.5 of OneSite with Upgrades to SCCM Enterprise

Microsoft (News - Alert)'s System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) can now manage large groups of computers running a wide range of operating systems. The new upgrades on the Adaptiva OneSite 5.5 will introduce more functionality to SCCM with greater visibility, transparency, control, scalability and automation.

The new features Adaptiva has integrated into OneSite are essential for enterprises that have to scale quickly while still maintaining control in today’s complex environment. With social media, mobility, cloud and virtualizations now part of most enterprise systems, managing these assets effectively in global deployments can be demanding.

With OneSite users won’t need to put multiple distribution points (DPs) or other onsite servers. In the past, putting DPs and servers at every site was a very costly and time consuming proposition, taking many months or even years for network teams to complete the configuration changes required to make it all work.

The OneSite SCCM services it provides bring together unused disk and processing capacity from existing systems into “virtual servers”. It also optimizes content transfers over global WAN and local LANs by creating a virtual network topology.

According to the company two features, PowerShell Fusion and LiveFlow, will have the tools enterprises will need to make this possible.

PowerShell Fusion is a Workflow Designer that advances the automation of IT processes by letting personnel access powerful systems management functions with customization. OneSite can be extended with integration into SCCM, Active Directory, Azure, Office 365, Exchange, SQL and others.

LiveFlow delivers real-time control over worldwide content distribution, allowing IT admins to scale globally. All of the content transferred around the world with SCCM can now be viewed by operating location or by content. This includes any/all transfers, source, target, data percent sent, time remaining, average speed and current speed. In addition to complete visibility, administrators also have more control with functionalities such as pause, priority override, cancel all transfers, raise/override delivery and more, individually or as a group anywhere in the world.

Some of the other updates on the OneSite 5.5 include, Global Office 365 Updating, P2P Wi-Fi Optimizer, Active Directory Armor and Enhanced OneSite Server Monitoring via Microsoft.

“By giving our customers total command and control for our enterprise-class content delivery system, Adaptiva is extending our leadership position. Version 5.5 also elevates automation with PowerShell Fusion, scaling systems management across complex global organizations with power and ease only possible with OneSite," said Deepak Kumar, CTO and founder of Adaptiva.

The speed in which content is delivered is a big differentiator for digital service providers. For companies that are distributed across the planet, the quality of service must be the same everywhere. OneSite is able to deliver content to multiple systems simultaneously using OneSite’s memory pipeline architecture.
