Windstream Has Entered into HP's PartnerOne Program

In an effort to become even stronger in the cloud-ready solutions field, Windstream recently announced that it is partnering up with Hewlett Packard and joining the HP PartnerOne Program. This particular program is geared toward helping service providers bring innovative hosted solutions to potential clients quicker and easier than ever before.

"HP's PartnerOne program will bring HP product innovation and R&D investment, enabling us to deliver better solutions to our customers," said vice president of data center marketing for Windstream (News - Alert), Rob Carter in a recent statement announcing the company was signing up. "We have successfully partnered with HP on individual projects in the past, but solidifying a formal relationship the HP PartnerOne program will drive even greater success across our combined footprint and both sales organizations. Our cloud solutions portfolio, utilizing HP technologies, including HP Helion, showcases this best-in-class partnership and expands HP success within the cloud marketplace.”

Windstream will be able to offer new and existing HP customers choices about the kind of communications solutions they can access through the HP PartnerOne program. Among the solutions that are now available to these customers is a private cloud, Backup as a Service and Replication of a Service. In the Private Cloud, users will be able to access an HP cloud-based server infrastructure that includes 3PAR options. The Backup as a Service allows for the ability to have automated backup that gives users continuity as well as a top-of-the-the line business recovery system. The Replication as a Service (RaaS) allows for automated business information storage and database survivability. All of these options allow for companies who are working in the cloud to shed their rather large and rather costly IT departments.

Using the HP PartnerOne program, HP and Windstream are teaming up in order to offer best-of-breed solutions to enterprise companies of all shapes and sizes.
