Ubiquiti and ECS Announce Distribution Agreement

ECS, a major technology distributor, has entered into a distribution agreement with Ubiquiti (News - Alert) Networks, a global connectivity technology company, that will allow it to market and sell all of Ubiquiti's product lines to resellers in China, Malaysia and the Philippines.

With three main businesses, namely enterprise systems, IT services and distribution, ECS has a network of more than 24,500 active channel partners across China, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines. ECS is well-positioned to be a regional partner of choice suitable for any global-leading multinational corporation ICT brand vendor seeking to tap into Asia Pacific's ICT spending growth.
Thanks to the agreement, Ubiquiti would be able to expand into Asian markets and bring its broadband and enterprise solutions to customers by leveraging one of the strongest distributor networks in the region.

“We regard Ubiquiti as a comprehensive, intuitive and disruptively priced proposition for our broadband and enterprise customers,” said Jian Hui Ma, vice general manager of ECS, in a statement

Ma said that the company is excited to offer Ubiquiti’s products to the channel.

As part of the pact, ECS will immediately begin marketing, selling and supporting all of the company's leading edge platforms for service providers and enterprises to its network.

“Expanding Ubiquiti's presence in Asia is one of our top priorities and ECS is the ideal partner to help us achieve that goal,” said Chris Usher, manager, international business development of Ubiquiti Networks.

Usher said that ECS’ experience, execution and reach would help to speed up company’s growth throughout the region.

Earlier in June, Ubiquiti Networks had announced the release of airMAX ac, a significant evolution to Ubiquiti's fixed broadband wireless technology platform.

airMAX ac features superior processing power, revolutionary active RF filtering technology, carrier-class antennas, and powerful firmware enhancements in airOS 7 that it is easier than ever to deploy and manage high capacity broadband wireless networks.
