The Future of Application Management May Start with Stackato

Do you rely on applications to help you manage your day? If you’re in a business environment, this is probably more true than you realize. We sometimes think of apps as only those things that we download to our smartphones to manage music, play games or sync documents. In reality, there are so many others that integrate with legacy and new devices that it can get overwhelming.

Still, mobile activity is dominating the market and the use of apps is getting even more important. Consider recent news from Facebook (News - Alert). The social networking giant is expanding its application reach to strengthen its focus on targeted ads. According to a blog posted by Facebook, the Audience (News - Alert) Network, as the initiative is called, relies on the same targeting and measurement features that marketers use to advertise on Facebook.

The promised ads are expected to fit seamlessly into integrated apps in a move that is projected to boost Facebook revenue from mobile advertising. As this has consistently been a difficult area of revenue generation for Facebook, and a key reason its IPO didn’t perform as expected, this move could fill the gap in shortfalls the company has in its mobile strategy. Given the frustration companies have shared over recent algorithm changes, however, it will be interesting to watch adoption rates.

Such platforms are gaining in popularity, however, whether it’s to help drive revenue, enable developers to bring better apps to market or simply provide a platform for the expansion of capabilities. Apps are getting more attention and they’re playing a larger role in the way we do business. The key for those who want to rise to the surface among competitors is to stay on top of market needs and focus on user behaviors.

Companies like Stackato (News - Alert) are helping to lead the way. The provider focuses on enabling companies to more rapidly create and deploy applications. Stackato’s solution runs on a cloud environment; automating the development process so companies can improve response time and management of their applications, while also optimizing the user experience.

To explain more, Stackato representatives were on hand at Interop (News - Alert) 2014 in New York. TMCnet got the latest scoop in this video interview. Check out the interview in full to learn what the company is doing to improve application management for all.
