Sao Paulo-Guarulhos International Airport Deploys Quantum Secure's SAFE

São Paulo-Guarulhos International Airport (GRU), the busiest airport in Latin America, has recently reorganized the airports security operations by adapting Identity Management Solution from Quantum Secure.

The installation of Secure's SAFE for Aviation software suite has helped the airport to manage thousands of travelers during the World Cup beginning, and is now ready to handle the surge of travelers for the upcoming 2016 Summer Olympics.

Quantum (News - Alert) Secure’s SAFE for Aviation Solution Suite is a comprehensive aviation worker identity management solution designed to modernize the time and system intensive processes around the lifecycle of the aviation workers, while dramatically improving their compliance.

This suite provides a single, fully interoperable and integrated physical security policy platform to manage security identities, compliance, and operations across multiple disparate physical security systems.

SAFE for Aviation accompanies pre-defined policies, workflows and procedures for issuing badge credentials and granting/revoking access to airport facilities, while shortening adherence to aviation-specific compliance regulations, audits and security directives, minimizing insider threats and promoting greater operational security.

GRU has installed many of the aviation-related SAFE modules, including Privilege Management Application, Integrated Watch List Management Application, Aviation Mobile Infraction Management, and Aviation Visitor Management.

SAFE has helped GRU to enhance the usefulness of the credentialing process by allowing the airports to more efficiently handle credentialing issues for contractors and employees. With the physical identity and access management software solution in place, the airport is now benefiting from significant cost reductions.

"SAFE is designed to the TSA paradigm, so we have brought those concepts to GRU, which are meeting and exceeding ANAC's current capabilities, making airport security more traveler-friendly, secure and streamlined," said Ajay Jain, President and CEO of Quantum Secure.

Ajay Jain said that the usage of SAFE is helping GRU to streamline its security and credentialing operations, ensure compliance with TSA-level policies and future-proofing its physical security infrastructure.
