Vianet Adapts Oti's New Trio Modular Payment Reader

Vianet (News - Alert), a telemetry and software solutions provider for the leisure, gaming and vending sectors, has recently picked new Trio modular payment reader from On Track Innovations Ltd. This advanced solution will be installed to Vianet’s vending machines in the UK and the Netherlands, during the third quarter of this year.

Vianet placed the new order after extensive field trials and testing of Trio's EMV reader to suit its necessities.

Barry Lowe, business development director at Vianet, said that oti's technology now provides vending operators with the opportunity to compete more effectively in the retail space and drive sales growth in excess of 20 percent.

Standards-certified Trio modular reader payment solution, oti’s Trio offers users with multiple payment options in unattended market segments, such as vending machines, self-service laundromats and car washes.

The reader works with magnetic stripe cards, contactless payment solutions and secure credit/debit/prepaid cards with built-in EMV smart chip compatibility. The multiple payment solution was developed using oti’s field-proven Saturn 6500, a panel mount reader designed for indoor and outdoor installations.

Available in multiple encryption configurations to ensure the highest level of security for all transaction types, the oti Trio is optimized to read data from a variety of sources, including credit cards, key fobs and smart stickers that are used by companies with ISO 14443 type A, B and MIFARE.

The reader’s LCD display, LEDs and buzzer provide users with on-the-spot transaction confirmation and clear positive interactive feedback.
