AT&T Adds LG G Watch to Its Offerings

AT&T (News - Alert), premier communications holding company offering wireless, Wi-Fi, high speed Internet, voice and cloud-based services, has announced it has now added LG G Watch to its collection of accessories.

Available in two different colors: 'Black Titan' and 'White Gold', the new LG G Watch has a 1.65in IPS LCD display at 280 x 280 resolution and is powered by a Qualcomm (News - Alert) Snapdragon 400 processor with 1.2GHz CPU. It has 4GB built-in memory and 512MB RAM.

It is dust and water resistant so that users can get wet without worrying. Also, the G Watch has a set of metal contacts on the rear to charge it, instead of fitting a bulky microUSB port onto it.

"The LG G Watch is a great addition to AT&T's selection of smart accessories," said Jeff Bradley, senior vice president of Devices at AT&T.”

The new LG G Watch works with devices running Android (News - Alert) 4.3 and higher. LG has said it developed the G Watch in "close collaboration with Google," much as it did with the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5. The LG G Watch has a 400mAh battery built-in, which LG says will last the whole day on a single charge.

The G Watch uses a standard strap size so if users don't like the one it's supplied with, they can exchange it with the one of their own choice. This trendy watch is helpful to users to get information like a reminder for a meeting or how long it will take to get home etc.

“A key differentiator of the LG G Watch is that it works on any smartphone with Android 4.3 or higher, allowing users to receive notifications and other useful information at a glance. The LG G Watch will be available to our customers in the coming weeks, and we look forward to sharing more details soon," Bradley added.
