Agosto Inc., a pioneer in cloud-based consulting and application development, has launched SkyKit Cloud Storage Gateway (News - Alert) (CSG), a managed cloud storage solution that extends a company's existing backup systems, migrating stored data to the cloud.
SkyKit Cloud Storage Gateway (CSG) is a fully managed, cloud-integrated storage solution to address-Sprawling network attached storage (NAS) systems; Aging storage area networks (SANs); Offsite backups; Disaster recovery and rarely accessed archive data.
SkyKit CSG, which is available immediately for an all-inclusive price, with no capital expenditure, is designed for IT leaders who need a better way to manage their company's growing data storage footprint.
Officials with Agosto said that SkyKit CSG allows them to reallocate primary data storage from network attached storage (NAS) drives, costly storage area network (SAN) drives, and remote site tape data storage. It also eliminates the need for expensive secondary data storage, and physically reduces a company's data center sprawl.
“As ICOM grows, we are constantly evaluating how to best store and protect the sensitive information that our clients entrust us with every day,” said Dr. Jared Tabler, vice president of people & marketing at ICOM Productions, in a statement.
ICOM Productions, a Calgary-based learning solutions provider, and an Agosto client, was struggling with the burden of accommodating its growing data storage needs.
"Agosto had already helped us implement Google (News - Alert) Apps, which was the easiest technology rollout I have ever been a part of. When we started looking at cloud storage solutions, we knew Agosto was the right partner,” said Dr. Tabler.
He said that Agosto's Skykit Cloud Storage Gateway is helping take the company’s business to the next level -- not just for the company’s needs today, but for the future growth as well.
“As a company's storage footprint grows, IT departments are forced to spend more time managing storage -- procuring, provisioning, maintaining and upgrading -- as well as backing up and protecting all of those systems,” said Aric Bandy, president of Agosto.
Bandy said that Agosto designed SkyKit CSG to relieve IT departments of that burden, so they can focus on more business critical matters.
