UNICOM Attains Gold Level Partner Status from Microsoft

In today’s competitive business environment, the secret to success is not just delivering a solution to the clients, but to complement the solution with the right support throughout the solution’s lifecycle. This calls for a skill level which is above average. The certification from the top technology companies / consultants is testament to a provider’s superior skill levels. Thus attaining the right certification has become a top-most priority for a number of companies. And when a company is able to achieve Microsoft Gold Certification, it reflects an outstanding level of experience and expertise. UNICOM (News - Alert) Engineering is one of the few companies in the world to achieve Microsoft Gold OEM partner status.

Reaching the Gold partner level requires significant effort on the part of the aspirant. In Microsoft’s (News - Alert) own words, “a gold competency is evidence of the deepest, most consistent commitment to a specific, in-demand, business solution area.” For UNICOM, which has served a vast, global OEM clientele with its server-based application platforms, it was not very difficult to meet with the stringent requirements necessary to be recognized as a Microsoft Gold OEM partner. It has been recognized as a Gold level partner at its facilities in Plano, Texas and Canton, Mass., and as a Microsoft Silver OEM partner at its Galway, Ireland site.

The attainment of Gold level partner status is a landmark achievement for UNICOM, a provider of application platforms, for a number of reasons. The certificate is awarded only at the end of a long, rigorous process. It gives it a competitive advantage to the gold partner as the certification reflects the company’s enormous proficiency in its core competencies and consistent commitment to specific, in-demand, business solutions. With this certification, UNICOM enters the elite club of the top one percent of Microsoft partners that have attained this certification.

The certification process involved independent evaluation by Microsoft. The staff members were evaluated individually to demonstrate their proficiency in mission-critical areas. In addition, the employees at each site were required to pass training and competency assessments in order to ensure each UNICOM Engineering facility met core Microsoft OEM Partner standards.

“UNICOM Engineering strives to achieve operational excellence in each of its facilities, and doing so is contingent upon having high-caliber professionals on our team to meet the standards of a partner like Microsoft,” VP of marketing at UNICOM Engineering Jeff Hudgins (News - Alert) noted in a statement. “In addition to the significant value this certification confers in recognizing our long-standing partnership with Microsoft, it also benefits our customers worldwide by providing the assurance that they can trust UNICOM Engineering to deliver excellence at every level.”
