Gartner Names Another to its Leader Quadrant

Tata Communications (News - Alert), a telecommunications and Internet service provider, recently announced that it has been positioned in the 'Leaders' quadrant of the Gartner (News - Alert) Magic Quadrant for Global Network Service providers.

Tata Communications is a $3.2 billion global communications and enterprise IT service provider. The company owns and operates a fully functional Tier-1 IP network and a submarine cable network with additional interests in data center and colocation services. Tata Communications owns a cable network spreading across 235,000 kilometers and offers best-in-class enterprise Ethernet services in the Asia Pacific region.

''Through the years, we've made several investments in our network infrastructure and services; I believe this leaders' position is a substantial achievement which truly represents how far we have come,” said Sumeet Walia, head of Global Enterprise Business, Tata Communications. “I also believe this report shows our strategic roadmap in terms of network and managed service capabilities; our strength in both developed and emerging markets such as Africa, the Middle East and Asia/Pacific; and our focus on customer experience.''

In related news, the company was recently recognized by Forrester (News - Alert) Research as a leader in the carrier Ethernet Services market across the Asia Pacific Region. In a report titled “The Forrester Wave: Asia Pacific Carrier Ethernet Services, Q42013”, Forrester designated Tata as a company with the strongest portfolio for Ethernet WAN services to provide efficient traffic prioritization, high quality portfolio and granular bandwidth options.

Forrester also cited Tata Communications’ service portfolio as being ideally suited for organizations requiring specifically granular carrier Ethernet access speeds with a properly graded service class. Further, the Forrester report recognized the sales and sales support teams of Tata Communications for their well-defined marketing strategy that allows customers to choose the required services with the help of the local sales engineering team, thus offering highly customized services.
