ThreatTrack Upgrades E-mail Security Solution

ThreatTrack Security, a cybersecurity company, has released a new version of its VIPRE Email Security for Exchange. This enterprise e-mail security solution for Microsoft (News - Alert) Exchange forms part of the VIPRE product line which protects over 10 million endpoints across the globe.

The policy-based e-mail security solution protects networks from cyber threats like spam, phishing and viruses and delivers a layered security approach for e-mail inspection, cleansing and management. It also uses multiple scanning engines or adaptive technologies to detect spam and viruses and eliminates all forms of threat before the e-mail reaches the endpoint.

Julian Waits, Sr., president and CEO of ThreatTrack Security said, “The biggest security vulnerability within any organization is employees, and they are more often targeted through email than any other threat vector.”

The new VIPRE Email Security 3.6 can now support Microsoft Exchange 2013 SP1. It leverages an upgraded scanning methodology which uses transport agents to scan inbound and outbound e-mails and uses a ‘greylisting’ feature to authorize e-mails from a new domain - enhancing both the security and performance of the VIPRE Email Security solution.

While some might say security solutions slow down or disrupt users and reduce everyday productivity, VIPRE’s small-footprint antivirus solution detects malware effectively and protects users who prefer an e-mail security solution that is simple to use and almost invisible.

ThreatTrack Security announced the availability of VIPRE Antivirus Business 6.5 and VIPRE Business Premium 6.5, the latest versions of its enterprise endpoint protection solution, recently.

They feature support for Windows Server with Hyper-V and, can now be fully deployed via the hypervisor, which will enable powerful malware protection for Windows Server Hyper-V virtual server environments, and reduce maintenance overhead and performance degradations.
