GigeNET Uses ADVA FSP 3000 to Counter Dramatic Bandwidth Growth

GigeNET, a full-service managed hosting provider, stated that it deployed ADVA (News - Alert) FSP 3000 to interlink three Chicago locations in order to quickly respond to customer demand in an efficient and scalable manner.

GigeNET also migrated from being a managed service model to a privately-owned infrastructure so that its business is here on more cost-efficient and customer-driven.

The ADVA FSP 3000 is termed as a scalable WDM transport solution specifically designed for service providers and large enterprises looking for flexibility and cost-efficiency in both data and process intensive applications and it is capable of facilitating bandwidth scale and service flexibility in access, backhaul, metro and long-haul networks. Its low power consumption, small footprint and rapid scalability ensure it meets the most stringent of network requirements.

GigeNET is already part of the ADVA Optical Networking's training program and is also a subscriber of the ADVA Optical Networking's Bronze maintenance package. GigeNET opted for ADVA’s training program and services in order to acquire the capability to cater to the requirements of its customers’ most stringent service level agreements.
