Comings & Goings: ForeScout Technologies Names Three New Executives

As cyber attacks are becoming more commonplace, Internet security is erupting into a much sought after business.

To meet this increasing demand, network security solutions provider ForeScout Technologies has expanded its leadership team with the addition of three new executives.

Paul Phillips, a man with more than two decades of experience in investment banking with an emphasis on the enterprise software sector, has been appointed senior vice president of corporate and business development and will be responsible for its growth. Phillips has held senior management positions in companies such as Citigroup, Bank of America and Goldman Sachs and has completed transactions for numerous others including IBM (News - Alert) and Microsoft.

Laura Owen, who was previously a labor and employment attorney at Cooley LLP, has been named vice president of human resources. She will assist in the development of ForeScout Technologies' global HR functions, which will include organizational strategic planning, building infrastructure and systems, recruiting and employee communications.

Darren Milliken (News - Alert), who recently held the roles of senior vice president and general counsel at Accuray, has been hired by ForeScout to serve as senior vice president, general counsel and corporate compliance officer. Besides working at Accuray for 10 years, Milliken has also held senior management roles at Sanmina-SCI Corp and Voyan Technology and was in private practice at the law firm of Blakely Sokoloff Taylor and Zafman LLP.

"I'm extremely pleased with these additions to my team as each possess key qualities that will help bolster the company for long-term success – experience, leadership, dynamic personality and a proven track record," ForeScout Technologies CEO Gord Boyce said in a statement.

ForeScout, which offers Fortune 1000 enterprises and government organizations automated solutions for network access control, mobile security, endpoint compliance and threat prevention, has already made achievements among the cyber threat defense community. It has been named among the Leaders quadrant in Gartner's 2013 Magic Quadrant for Network Access Control and one of the fastest growing NAC vendors by Frost & Sullivan (News - Alert).

Its solutions allow organizations to increase productivity and connectivity to corporate network resources without having a negative impact on security.
