Zeriva Inks Deal with EVault

Data protection is the prime requirement today to meet both computing and business goals. Many organizations are under great pressure to adopt a right solution which will help them protect their critical data.

EVault is a Seagate (News - Alert) company specializing in cloud-connected backup and recovery services. Using cloud-connected technology, EVault solutions integrate well with on-premise and online backup data protection for fast, local data access and ensured cloud disaster recovery. The technology also powers the offerings of cloud services providers, data centers, telcos, ISVs and many others.

Zeriva, a provider of IT solutions and technology equipment, is recently taking full advantage of this by signing a partnership agreement with EVault.

The partnership will help both of the companies to jointly offer enhanced cloud-based storage and backup solutions to their customers. Joint offerings will include EVault's Cloud-based solution, On-premise and Hybrid Backup and Recovery solutions; EVault's Cloud Disaster Recovery solution; and EVault's Endpoint Protection as well as all other EVault offerings.

"As a Seagate company who already has over 40,000 customers, we believed that EVault was the right partner to deliver quality solutions to our existing customer base," Paul Parker, chief executive officer at Zeriva said in a statement.

"EVault gives our customers confidence that their data is secure and accessible with the added benefit of selecting their service delivery method with public cloud, private cloud and hybrid options," Parker added.

The joint offerings will also allow customers to mix, match and change components to suit their evolving needs.

With nearly two decades of solving data protection issues, EVault claims to have attained 40 percent market share and has SSAE-16 (Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements) in the US, ISO 9001 and ISO 270001 in EMEA (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa) certifications. With every solution, EVault also offers a team of data recovery experts that ensure customers get their data back, no matter what.

EVault recently announced EVault Backup Services for Windows Azure. The service was announced building on the successful relationship between Microsoft (News - Alert) and EVault. The new service extends data protection to cross-platform server data, operating systems, applications and databases while delivering the flexibility, scalability, economy and offsite protection of the cloud.
