Big Data Specialist SGI in Pact with Cognilytics to Bring Advanced Analytics in Enterprise Big Data

SGI, a company specializing in high performance computing and Big Data, has formed partnership with Cognilytics to bring advanced analytics to enterprise big data by leveraging Cognilytics' expertise in Hadoop, SAP (News - Alert) HANA and Predictive analytics.

A winner of SAP North America Partner Excellence Award 2014 for Platform Solutions, Cognilytics helps enterprise monetize their data by implementing technologies such as Hadoop and SAP Platform and Analytics solutions.

The partnership helps these companies deliver infrastructure solutions including SGI InfiniteData Cluster and SGI UV. 

InfiniteData Cluster enables business and government agencies to utilize Hadoop with faster, greater insight and at lower cost. SGI UV provides a powerful shared memory platform with up to 64 TB of cache coherent shared memory.

By combining SGI InfiniteData Cluster with Hadoop and SGI UV with SAP HANA, SGI and Cognilytics will be able to provide a turnkey solution in these rapidly growing environments, the company said.

Gary Gauba, Cognilytics chairman and CEO says SGI's expertise in high performance computing highly complements Cognilytics' expertise in predictive modeling. "Delivering application integrated solutions for Big Data powered by SGI infrastructure increases our ability to help customers convert Big Data to a strategic asset."

According to a recent report in TMCnet, 87 percent of marketers agree that capturing and sharing the right data is important to effectively measuring ROI in their own company and 70 percent of C-suite executives expect a return on their big data investments within one year.
