Neudesic Introduces The Firm Directory for Legal Firms

Neudesic Pulse (News - Alert), recognized for its strong integration with Microsoft products and its powerful enterprise collaboration platform that connects the workplace, has now turned its attention to help legal departments generate higher revenue. To help them do this, it has introduced The Firm Directory, a single repository that is rich in expertise and accomplishments of attorneys.

Built on Neudesic Pulse, The Firm Directory allows partners and managements to tap the collective experience and knowledge of partners and their associates, and enhances capabilities for law firms through the use of secure client-matter groups.

“Based on preliminary feedback from our user base, were excited to deploy the full capabilities of The Firm Directory,” said Tom Baldwin, chief knowledge officer, Reed Smith LLP.

By sharing knowledge and expertise, firms, partners and management can get access to the most qualified legal expert for specific casework. Within The Firm Directory's Bio section, everyone has a chance to capture and share appropriate skills across the firm. This way, information is freely available and strict corporate and IT security is also maintained.

The new features will allow partners to best utilize the talent that they have within their  firm, enabling them to grow the bottom line and serve clients well.

“We built The Firm Directory from the ground up to offer rich configuration and extensibility. Our vision is to enable each firm to implement according to the attributes that are specific to their culture,” said Jason Noble, general manager, product development, Neudesic Pulse.

In addition to sharing knowledge and generating higher revenue, The Firm Directory Bio also serves as a hub to recognize attorneys for work well done, acquisition of special skills or help provided on a given matter. This helps elevate employee recognition initiatives and improves interaction across the organization.

It often happens that firms could be looking for a partner with past experience with a specific client  in mind. The Firm Directory Search goes to work and lets them explore according to whatever criteria they have in mind.

“The Firm Directory helps law firms generate higher revenue by capturing and sharing the kind of knowledge and expertise from lateral moves that email and traditional communication channels don't offer,” said Ramin Vosough, vice president, product sales and marketing, Neudesic Pulse.

Neudesic Pulse brings social networking to the enterprise, and when combined with Firm Directory could prove to be a powerful force for legal firms.
