SLI Systems Announces Handling of One Billion Search Queries in a Month

SLI Systems, a global 'Software as a Service' (SaaS (News - Alert)) site search provider, recently announced that it handled more than one billion search queries for its global customers in December. The officials said that there has been a 50 percent year-over-year increase.

"A billion is a big number. I'm proud of our technical team to have built the global infrastructure to scale for these volumes," said Shaun Ryan, CEO of SLI Systems. "As more retailers realize that search and related services can be significant drivers of revenue and traffic, we have enjoyed growth well beyond that of the overall eCommerce industry. This billion-query milestone reflects not only the growing number of merchants using our services but also adoption by larger retailers with higher traffic volumes.”

SLI Systems provides SaaS solutions that help online shoppers connect to the products they're most likely to buy, directly driving increased sales and higher customer satisfaction for online retailers and other eCommerce sites. With offerings that include site search, navigation, merchandizing, product suggestions, and user-generated Search Engine Optimization (SEO), SLI Systems claims to be the most chosen SaaS-based site search provider to Internet Retailer Top 1000 retailers.

In 2013, SLI Systems was ranked the leading SaaS-based site search provider in the year's IR Top 500 Guide, Internet Retailer magazine's annual list of the 500 largest online retailers; as well as the top overall site search provider in the publication's Second 500 Guide. SLI's growing customer base included 33 of the top 500 online retailers and 39 of the second 500 online brands using the company's full-service site search, according to research from Internet Retailer magazine.

"These retailers are turning to SLI Systems' technologies because they can recognize real improvements to online sales by making it easier for their customers to find what they're looking for, along with driving more traffic from search engines," Ryan added. “Retailers that look to service providers to handle critical areas of their websites like search, shopping cart and check-out, mobile design, personalization and more are well-positioned to grow a loyal base of customers and revenue as well."
