Molex (News - Alert) Incorporated, a global manufacturers of interconnect products, announced the expansion of its MX150 sealed connector system portfolio. New launches include Molex MX150 panel-mount connectors, Grip Terminals, twist-lock sealed bulkhead connectors and backshells.
These new connectors are designed to meet or exceed USCAR-2 class 3 requirements and is ideal for SAE- and ISO-style wire in single-and dual-row configurations of up to 22.0A supporting both signal and power applications for on-engine automotive to off-road construction equipment applications.
“Our automotive and commercial vehicle customers set high standards for engine longevity. A complete interconnect system, the robust MX150 twist-lock design provides superior electrical and mechanical performance in on-engine, high-vibration, underhood and chassis applications,” AJ Pill, product manager, Molex said in a statement.
Molex MX150 sealed connector systems has a single silicone-based seal with individual wire openings and a seal cap and features an all in-one plug and receptacle housings. Integral terminal position assurance (TPA) and optional connector position assurance (CPA) components eliminate time-consuming and costly assembly operations. Available with tin, gold or silver contact finishes, the MX150 lower applied costs by eliminating the need to handle and crimp individual wire seals.
The new Molex MX150 panel-mount connectors, Grip Terminals, twist-lock sealed bulkhead connectors and backshells comes under Molex MX150 sealed connector systems portfolio.
About the availability, the company said that its new MX150 sealed panel-mount connectors are available in 2-by-6, while the bulkhead connectors are available in 2-by-6, 2-by-8, 2-by-3 and 2-by-4 versions. The Backshells are available in 1-by-2, 2-by-3 and 2-by-6 in both Blade and Receptacle.
