TransNexus Unveils NexOSS 6.0 featuring Revamped Fraud Detection

Software development company TransNexus (News - Alert) has released a latest version of its VoIP Routing, Operations, and Billing Support System, NexOSS 6.0, with updated fraud detection capability and compatibility with BroadSoft’s (News - Alert) BroadWorks services. According to TransNexus, NexOSS provides VoIP operators with an easy to use web interface for provisioning routes, rates, number translation rules and monitoring traffic analysis and billing reports.

Also, with the new release, NexOSS is optimized to work with BroadSoft’s BroadWorks network elements and services. TransNexus has been a member of the BroadSoft Xtended program since 2012.

TransNexus said that NexOSS 6.0 offers enhanced fraud detection and credit controls for BroadWorks customers. Consequently, the improved software recognizes fraud and enforces credit controls by BroadWorks Service Provider ID and Group ID. In addition, when a fraud or credit control trigger is activated, the software supports the BroadWorks Provisioning Open Command Interface (OCI-P) to automatically change routing policies in the BroadWorks.

In a statement, Jim Dalton, president of TransNexus, said, “A growing number of our customers are leveraging BroadSoft’s wide range of Unified Communications (News - Alert) services in their networks to meet the demands of their enterprise customers.” He added, “NexOSS now works seamlessly with our customer’s complete VoIP networks, taking full advantage of BroadWorks’ call routing capabilities. Our software is leading the way in next generation VoIP network management.”

The company benefiting from the latest release of NexOSS is A.C.N, the world‘s largest direct seller of telecommunications services. According to A.C.N’s vice president of VoIP engineering Michael Brousseau, “The new release of NexOSS has enabled his organization to implement centralized Least Cost Routing (LCR), fraud detection, and credit controls on a multi-national scale.” “We worked closely with TransNexus to develop these new features. The ability to centralize our routing and integrate with our existing network has meant significant cost and operational savings,” noted Brousseau.

TransNexus will demonstrate NexOSS 6.0 this week at BroadSoft Connections 2013 in San Diego, Calif. The company offers a free 90 day evaluation trial of NexOSS, complete with technical support and remote training for all qualified customers, said TransNexus.
