ABBYY recently announced Peter Meechan as its new chief operating officer for ABBYY USA (News - Alert). Meechan, who has to his name contributions to the deployment of Flash on more than one billion devices, will be responsible for driving the company’s growth and further strengthening its market position.
Prior to joining ABBYY, Meechan was working with venture capital firm Sofinnova Ventures as venture advisor. He has held senior roles in many multi-billion dollar corporations, and currently sits on the board of Children's Hospital & Research Center Foundation. He has also been on boards of various well-known organizations in the U.S., Japan, and China.
