Virident (News - Alert) Systems, a provider of server-side flash storage solutions, recently launched the Virident Impact Program that will enable qualified channel partners to sell its FlashMAX II hardware and FlashMAX Connect Software Suite.
The partners will be classified into Member and Elite levels and their participation in the program will only help grow their businesses and increase profitability and also enable the flash platform transformation in the datacenter.
Kevin Rhone, director of channel acceleration practice at Enterprise Strategy Group (News - Alert), remarked, “Storage deployments are clearly moving to a model where flash storage supports active data, while spinning disks are increasingly focused on simple capacity; however, the adoption of this model is still not as fast as it could be. Virident can speed adoption of the new model because its FlashMAX Connect software suite can protect enterprises’ current infrastructure investments; this helps users to transition to flash and prepare for the future datacenter, while also allowing Virident and its partners to reach beyond just the flash market and into the larger storage market.”
According to Virident, its FlashMAX II is a Storage Class Memory (SCM) solution that offers enterprises enhanced performance combined with larger storage capacity in the smallest footprint. FlashMAX PCIe SSDs range in capacity from 550GB to 2.2 TB, in both MLC and SLC types of flash media. FlashMAX II is capable of fitting any server and provides the highest capacity in a single low-profile card, enabling organizations to maximize the use of valuable data-center space and reduce data-center sprawl.
The FlashMAX Connect software infuses the firm’s server flash storage solutions with storage area networking (SAN) capabilities.
The company’s newly appointed senior director of worldwide channels, Dawn Marie Ruszel, will be running the newly started channel program. Partners who have expertise in server-side flash storage, including local, regional and national resellers, VARs and MSPs can avail the program and have themselves certified.
