Today, businesses are experiencing rapid IT growth but their data centers are aging. Realizing this, C7 Data Centers, a premier provider of advanced IT, cloud and data center colocation services, recently announced to open a new 95,000 foot, state of the art data center complex in Bluffdale, Utah by October 2013.
Officials said that C7 has built many data centers in Utah with local, national and international clients, representing virtually every industry in the world.
Granite Point II, C7’s new data center will be the most advanced and efficient Tier III data center the company has ever built. It will provide a terrific product for the company’s demanding customers experiencing growth.
In a press statement, Wes Swenson, CEO of C7 said: “This data center is the culmination of years of listening to our customers, combined with our vision of what a modern data center should be. It is truly world class and state of the art in every respect with a vision for the future.”
Granite Point II has been designed for 10 Megawatts of power and is expected to attain a 1.2 PUE rate due to the type of equipment and the ambient air the Utah climate provides. It will utilize ambient air cooling, innovative cold air containment, and actuated cooling to variable server heat loads and boast of dense power deployments and monitoring at every level of the infrastructure.
All customers, with needs ranging from one rack to thousands of square feet will be accommodated with flexible pricing and easily expandable layouts.
Swenson added: “Building C7 in Utah provides our customers with data center designs and operational mantras that address many concerns the IT buyer has today; such as low disaster risk, abundant low latency connectivity options, future proofing power and cooling, and a footprint they can grow in -- all at a lower cost. The customer experience is our focus, and our designs to provide uninterruptible power and cooling are paramount.”
