Zillow launched an online schools search tool which will allow people looking for homes to also search for suitable schools based on boundaries and quality of education right from elementary to high school including public and private schools.
Amy Bohutinsky, Zillow chief marketing officer, said, “Two of the most important things home buyers tell us they look for in a new home is affordability within their price range, and quality of schools for their children – often with specific schools in mind. Zillow’s new schools search tool has made it tremendously easier to customize a Web or mobile home search based on a family’s unique needs.”
A provider of real estate and home-related information on the Internet, Zillow allows to search based on combination of school types offering an all-in-one search tool. The schools search tool is integrated into the Zillow online and mobile iOS home shopping solutions.
All information related to school ratings and reviews is delivered by GreatSchools, an online guide covering PreK-12 schools in the United States.
“Up until now that search proved to be daunting, especially if they had children in different grades and often, different schools. Now, whether the shopper has one kid in high school and one in junior high, or just wants to ensure their young children will go to the right schools as they grow, Zillow can empower them to find their perfect home,” Bohutinsky added.
Zillow users have to click the graduation cap icon on the map for picking the category of school for which they want to place a search whether elementary, middle or high school and also combinations of these. The search can be more focused by taking into consideration the GreatSchools rating. Users can also search among public schools, private schools and/or charter schools.
Officials revealed that the schools search tool is available on iOS in a simple format featuring an auto-fill search bar that is programmed to show popular schools first when users enter a school name.
Solutions provided by Zillow cover home buying, selling, renting, financing, remodeling and more. It also provides services that enable real estate, mortgage, rental and home improvement professionals to manage and market their businesses.
A recent report entitled Zillow Digs Fall Home Improvement Trend and Spending Survey reveals that 52 percent of homeowners plan to make a home improvement or addition this fall, compared with 60 percent in the summer. Homeowners plan to spend $1,000, which is $200 less than during the summer.
