How Wolfe Communications Stands Out from the Pack

Headquartered in the coffee loving metropolis known as Seattle, on the business side, Wolfe (News - Alert) Communications caters to C level executives, IT directors and IT administrators in addition to residential clients with multi dwelling units. Known best for its Ethernet over fiber services, over time, the company has continued to expand its footprint into the Midwest and Southern regions within the U.S.

Just last week, I had the chance to speak with Terry Rendall, Internet marketing director, Wolfe Communications, at Telecom Exchange in New York City all about how the business continues to measure up to new user demands in addition to setting itself apart from competitors in its rapidly expanding space.

Rendall said, “Because we are able to provide a customized product to our end-users, this means that what an organization wants doesn’t have to necessarily fit within one of our buckets. Instead, we will sit down and work closely with our customers to build a network that matches exactly what they’re seeking that comes complete with the specific amount of bandwidth needed to power a variety of applications. Also, we cut our prices down between 30 to 50 percent less than other companies, which is a humongous amount of savings, especially to smaller sized firms with tight budgets.”

However, just because its wide user base can get exactly what they need from Wolfe doesn’t mean that the business Internet and Ethernet virtual private line distributor is able to avoid all types of challenges completely. In fact, according to Rendall, education continues to be a major obstacle in proving to the public why they need to upgrade their communications infrastructure right now, before it’s too late.

“To overcome this problem, we talk to our customers currently leveraging traditional TDM services and help them understand exactly why they need to move their business to a VoIP-based platform. We then upgrade their service to accommodate newly emerging functions.” Rendall added.

Touting itself as being “forward thinking,” recently Wolfe Communications onboarded Michael Alexander as a channel manager, with the goal of helping the business to expand its footprint significantly, since it previously only had a small sales team in place. Alexander boasts over 13 years of experience in telecommunications and will help to deepen the relationship between Wolfe, its partners and their clients.

Looking ahead, we can expect to see the organization adding more services to its already robust portfolio such as 100G as well as enabling users to migrate to the all mighty cloud via providing the needed bandwidth to use multiple cloud-based services with ease.

“We had plans to stay in the Pacific Northwest but over the last year we have exploded tremendously,” she concluded. If 2013 was any indication, 2014 will surely be a great year for Wolfe Communications.
