euNetworks GmbH Signs Multi-Year Agreement with SITA Airport IT GmbH

euNetworks GmbH, a subsidiary of euNetworks Group Limited, has entered into a multi-year agreement with SITA Airport IT GmbH, a subsidiary of SITA and Dusseldorf International Airport, with a focus on communications and IT solutions for the air transport industry.

As part of the pact, euNetworks will deliver an Ethernet based connectivity solution for SITA Airport IT GmbH, connecting a key location in Dusseldorf to a data center located in the Rhein-Main area in Germany.

euNetworks is one of two providers for this connectivity, with redundancy a vital need for SITA Airport IT GmbH going forward.

“We provide the fundamental networking and communications infrastructure vital to keep airports and airlines running efficiently and dependably,” said Joachim Brandt, head of sales & marketing of SITA Airport IT GmbH, in a statement.

Brandt said that in order to also provide the services to customers outside the Dusseldorf area, a reliable connection to a core data center near Frankfurt am Main is fundamental.

“The new solution we have in place with euNetworks provides us with the necessary redundancy, data security and access to a team of technical experts we can call on as our bandwidth needs scale. The concept of unlimited bandwidth is very appealing as demand for our services continues to grow,” he said.

“We are delighted to be working with SITA Airport IT GmbH,” said Uwe Nickl, chief marketing officer of euNetworks.

Nickl said that the company appreciates the importance of both scale and quality in network infrastructure for SITA Airport IT GmbH’s business and looks forward to a long and growing relationship with them.

Earlier in June, euNetworks Group announced its continued relationship with NDIX, the Dutch-German Internet Exchange. euNetworks has supported NDIX with its facilities based infrastructure services since 2012, with this multi-year deal extending the partnership, delivering Dark Fiber and Ethernet services.

NDIX is a platform for broadband and IT services offering a digital marketplace, an Internet Exchange, a platform of broadband interconnections and ultimately, knowledge transfer. Its network comprises interlinked locations in the Netherlands and Germany which collectively serve as its marketplace.

The new services provided by networks support the increasing demand for high bandwidth data connection between their data centers and other key sites for NDIX and their end customers.
