Infinitely Virtual Unveils Many Service Enhancements Designed to Entice SMBs

Cloud computing is a very good option when your company does not have enough resources. More companies are letting their employees use mobile devices since they are always on the go. Not every company, especially small and medium sized businesses (SMB), can afford a large IT department, which is why the many policies to enforce and securing company data can be difficult to maintain.

For many companies, cloud computing is the solution, meaning that it is using the computing resources that are available at the host’s location and accessible through the Internet. Oddly enough the name “cloud computing” comes from the cloud shaped symbol used to encompass the hardware and software provided by the host.

You can see how this off-loads the maintenance and security measures needed by IT departments. Of course, as does everything, this comes at a price. It is usually not cheap; however the company supplying the cloud services is taking on the major responsibility of delivering data quickly and providing the best security possible. The cost could very well be worth it.

What do you do if you are a smaller company? You may not have the financial resources, but you still need accessibility and security from your mobile users. Infinitely Virtual is here to answer that call. On May 21, 2013 they announced a series of enhancements to services, storage options and most important of all, price reductions.

This is all designed to reach out to the SMBs since Infinitely Virtual knows that SMBs have different needs and resources than large enterprises. These new offerings are what they call “appropriate technology.” Price-wise they are packaged for easy, cost effective distribution to those smaller companies that do not have the available IT resources in-house.

Instead of paying the premium price of $1 per gigabyte for high speed storage, the SMBs can pay 30 cents per gigabyte, which are considered tradeoffs as the lower price comes with lower speeds. This price pays for a low cost Serial ATA (SATA) disk storage option. The pricing includes onsite and offsite backup as is already available today.

CEO of Infinitely Virtual, Adam Stern said "This is an outstanding solution for those apps that don't require high-speed storage -Word, Excel, photos and the like. We're effectively cutting the price of disk storage by two-thirds ad customers can pocket the savings. Customers rightly are concerned about paying for greater performance than they need, and too many providers simply don't offer these kinds of options."

Most users who are on the road prefer to run things like Word and Excel on their laptops instead of accessing the cloud version. Infinitely Virtual has taken the wraps off its Secure Internet File Server. This enables its customers to store Office documents through the cloud service while working locally.

Concluding the enhancements, Infinitely Virtual has simplified the process of purchasing SSL certificates. Instead of pricing each certificate on an individual basis, they will charge $3 a month to obtain, install and renew certificates.

In order for small businesses to grow and stay competitive they often need access to the types of resources like this that they simply cannot afford. Having this option is something that will benefit all SMBs.
