InfoVista Increases Business Service Revenue for Communications Service Providers

InfoVista is increasing business service revenue for communications service providers (CSPs) by launching the latest version of 5View Service Data Manager (SDM).

This solution will be made generally available on May 13, 2013 boosting business offerings and improving the customer experience for communications service providers.

InfoVista’s 5View SDM delivers customer-facing portal and alarm capabilities to CSPs so they can provide real-time, detailed application performance information to business customers.

This information will help the customers in several activities, such as troubleshooting, service/application usage analysis, traffic engineering and capacity planning.

InfoVista claims that the comprehensive, intuitive visibility enabled by 5View SDM drives the growth of CSPs’ VPN, Internet and cloud business services.

“5View SDM can enable CSPs to play a larger role as a technology partner for enterprises and to rise to the challenge of delivering comprehensive, real-time application visibility and performance management,” said Vikas Trehan, senior vice president, service assurance product line and alliances, InfoVista.

Elaborating on the latest release of 5View SDM, InfoVista says it provides CSPs with multiple options to launch application-aware services leveraging CE- or PE-based architectures.

Application delivery and network management teams can leverage 5View SDM to effectively manage application performance and reduce the potential for expensive outages.

The 5View SDM’s data collection and reporting engine can process the huge volumes of real-time data generated by flow and application measurement sources found in communications service providers and enterprise networks.

InfoVista offers 5View SDM integrated with the company’s IT and network performance management software solution, VistaInsight for Networks.

 “Our robust platform and feature set, including multi-tenant collection, analysis and presentation capabilities, have proven capable of improving enterprise customers’ satisfaction and increasing CSPs’ business service revenue,” added Vikas Trehan.

The company recently announced its support of Cisco (News - Alert) Application Visibility & Control (AVC)-part of the Cisco Integrated Services Routers with Application Experience (Cisco ISR-AX)-with the upcoming release of 5View Service Data Manager and 5View NetFlow.
