Symmetry Electronics Signs Distribution Agreement with Cmedia

Symmetry Electronics (News - Alert) Corporation, a supplier-authorized, global distributor specializing in the distribution of wireless, video, and embedded semiconductor products, has recently inked a new distribution agreement with Cmedia, a company that specializes in the development of PC-audio, mixed-signal, digital audio circuit design, audio processing and software integration.

As per the new distribution agreement, Symmetry Electronics will sell Cmedia’s audio processing and software integration to support applications such as: 4/5.1/7.1-channel PCI (News - Alert) entertainment/gaming sound cards, Hi-Fi audiophile, HP/speaker amplifier cards, HDMI AV/HTPC sound cards, pro-audio, interface/recording cards, karaoke sound cards, high-value PC MB USB audio, netbook USB audio, embedded systems (surveillance systems, jukebox, gaming machine, etc.) and IPC (News - Alert) and server's audio.

Cmedia audio solutions are widely in use as it enables users to easily attain transition from existing designs to higher audio quality at competitive prices with three main products; CM65XX, CM66XXA and CM7000N. Each solution is USB 2.0 high speed compatible, but more importantly, drivers for a wide range of devices are standard with all solutions and not offered by competitors.

In addition, the CM65XX audio codec from Cmedia is ideal for use with USB headsets, USB microphones, USB sound/docking stations offering full speed compatible and easily customizable for a wide range of embedded MCUs. CM65XX is a whole solution for iDevice data sync and music playback and Android (News - Alert) Docking, including the Lib and driver for Android system.

Apart from these, Cmedia CM66XXA is another solution that is fully compatible with USB 2.0 high speed, USB Audio Class 2.0.
