F5 Networks (News - Alert), Inc. has unveiled its latest security solutions in order to protect the network and application infrastructures of companies. Apart from launching BIG-IP Advanced Firewall Manager, the company has unveiled improvements to its other security solutions, thereby offering an extremely scalable application delivery firewall solution. For the first time, a network firewall has been combined with traffic administration, application protection, user access administration, and DNS security capabilities by F5’s firewall offering, all inside a smart services framework.
The F5 application delivery firewall offering will offer improved performance levels when implemented with the latest VIPRION 4800 hardware from F5. The solution will be able to offer firewall throughput of 640 Gbps, 288 million simultaneous sessions and eight million connections per seconds.
