Space-Time Insight specializing in situational intelligence solutions unveiled version 4.0 of its situational intelligence (SI) product suite, encompassing products such as SI Server 4.0, SI Designer 4.0 and SI Viewer 4.0.
These products are expected to facilitate the development and deployment of visual analytics applications capable of correlating, analyzing and visualizing huge volumes of real-time and historical data to make informed decisions.
Officials explained that these products can help visualize and analyze data of any type from any source, while assisting in traditional analytical functions.
The predictive analytics capabilities featured in the products can help organizations gain insight into the present situation and decipher what will happen next so that personnel can act proactively.
Rob Schilling, CEO at Space-Time Insight said, “In this era of big data, businesses are challenged to understand and make rapid decisions on data being generated at different speeds in a variety of formats.”
“With the release of our 4.0 product suite, Space-Time Insight further raises the bar on the way all data is correlated, analyzed and visualized,” he added. “Our customers are not just analyzing data; they’re gaining incredible insights from it. And they’re not just looking at it in charts and tables; they’re visualizing it in unique ways that are meaningful to their business.”
The new features in the product enable visualization into large data volumes. The software rasterizes data on a map and presents large result sets in batches to end users, enabling understandability and increasing productivity.
The release 4.0 features predictive analytics which estimates a course of action based on historical results so that proactive actions can be taken. The software is capable of organizing data sets into groups with same behavioral features and leverages data reduction algorithms to suppress irrelevant information.
This helps utilities, transportation companies, telecommunications providers and other businesses that follow complex operational requirements where even real-time intelligence is not enough.
In related news, Southern California Edison Co. has selected Space-Time Insight’s geospatial and visual analytics software to provide a centralized view of multiple technologies, assets and services deployed within its Irvine Smart Grid Demonstration (ISGD) project.
