Famic Technologies Signs Distribution Agreement with South Korea- Based INROOT Corporation

Famic Technologies Inc., creator of Automation Studio, the computer-aided design (CAD) and simulation software solution for fluid power and electrical systems, has expanded its reach in South Korea by signing a distributor agreement with software provider, INROOT Corp.

As part of the pact, INROOT will provide customer service and first level technical support throughout South Korea for Automation Studio P6 Professional Edition, Famic Technologies' flagship product.

Officials with Famic Technologies said that Automation Studio Professional Edition (P) is a software solution that helps reduce time-to-market and optimize the entire workflow of a project or product lifecycle. It seamlessly integrates system design engineering, simulation, prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, diagnostics, maintenance, service, training and documentation.

“INROOT exhibits strong IT expertise and engineering knowledge, a commitment to SMART technology, and enthusiasm about Automation Studio. It’s important to have qualified and experienced partners to promote the software and to provide related support services,” said Charbel Nasr, president of Famic, in a statement.

“We are pleased to have formed this business relationship with INROOT, which is ideally positioned to expand the reach of Automation Studio helping companies in South Korea increase their productivity and reduce costs,” said Nasr.

Famic Technologies, a Montreal based company, creates, markets, and supports CAD and simulation software solutions for hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, automation and controls. Founded in 1986, Famic Technologies provides software solutions to help engineers, maintenance personnel and trainers substantially increase their efficiency and effectiveness in systems design, maintenance and training.

INROOT CEO, Kwang-Soo Hwang, said that Automation Studio represents added value to the company’s existing product line and market share in East Asia’s rapidly growing fluid power industry.

“We are very excited to be partnering with Famic Technologies, the leader in the fields of software engineering and industrial automation. Automation Studio has been introduced to Korean domestic companies since last month, and they showed big interest in the software,” said Hwang.
