StreamWIDE Signs Strategic Agreement with GCI

StreamWIDE (News - Alert) and GCI have entered into a strategic partnership. As part of the agreement, StreamWIDE IP Messaging solution comprised of voicemail and visual voicemail will be offered by GCI (News - Alert) to its mobile subscribers.

 In a statement, Victor Arabagian, vice president for Sales & Business Development for North America, StreamWIDE said, "GCI is an important partner for our North American operations. In working with GCI towards the delivery of our value added solutions, we continue the clear global positioning of StreamWIDE an innovating partner to the US Wireless operators."

GCI is one of the few mobile operators in the country that have obtained the iPhone (News - Alert) distribution license. In a bid to penetrate the smartphone arena, GCI has also increased its investments considerably. GCI has now plausibly chosen Visual Voicemail as a major component of its consumer approach. GCI has currently introduced StreamWIDE IP Messaging on the iPhone and Android (News - Alert) devices. StreamWIDE in-house mobile application will be however utilized for subscribers with Android devices.
