ServerCentral believes that, even in this era of instant gratification, sometimes, the smart move is to roll something out slowly and make sure you can get all the kinks out. To this end, it revealed its enterprise cloud back in June, then started a soft release that summer. In the meantime, it collected feedback on the interface and features. After a few months of this, the company locked it down and turned on self-service signup.
I spoke to representatives from ServerCentral at the Cloud Expo in Santa Clara about the latest news from the 13-year old company. The company boasts over 450 clients, and, to test the waters of the new solution, it asked some of them to splash around for a bit. 100 users went onto the system to do their business and, as predicted, nothing broke. The company prides itself in not being driven by publicity and releases. It will develop its products for as long as necessary, until they are ready.
The company received positive feedback at the show, demonstrating the power of the system, showing its provisioning features over the Web. The solution is infrastructure only, with no app tied to it. It is a high-performance cloud, far more robust than most other solutions, boasting a real sliding infrastructure built so it never goes down.
ServerCentral prides itself in being the solution for companies that want to do real work. It promises real performance in the cloud, not skimping on its customers. In fact, it offers customers the chance to try out the solution, signing up for one month for free, testing it out and seeing its true performance value.
