Trub AG Selects IFS Applications 8

An ERP system brings together all business management functions, including inventory and materials management, planning, order processing, engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, human resources, accounting and finance. Additionally, it allows various departments to share information and communicate very easily.

Recently, IFS revealed that Swiss manufacturer Trüb AG had chosen its IFS Applications 8 ERP Software as a replacement to its legacy software. This contract consists of software licenses and services.

After going through numerous ERP vendors, Trüb AG selected IFS Applications 8 for its unparalleled benefits and offerings. For example, the solution consists of components for shop-floor reporting, manufacturing, distribution, constraint-based scheduling, project management, maintenance, business intelligence, project reporting, human resource management, financials, document management, time and attendance and quality management.

IFS Applications 8 also supports the management of four important processes: Manufacturing, Service and Asset, Supply Chain and Projects. Furthermore, it covers all of the business’ rigorous requirements, along with the company’s deep industry knowledge and software for all the important business processes such as financials and HR.

Peter Höhne, VP Sales & Marketing, IFS Europe Central, explained in a statement, “Signing Trüb AG as a new customer in Switzerland shows that IFS has a strong, competitive solution for manufacturers in sectors with very high demands in terms of precision and security. And given the quality of our competitors, it also underlines the quality of our latest release, IFS Applications 8.”

In other news, the company announced that Portsmouth Water had selected IFS Applications to support its mobile workforce. The company was also looking to streamline service operations as well as enhance project and asset management efficiency. Apart from various important industries, large defense establishments and varied commercial businesses, Portsmouth Water offers public water supplies to a domestic population exceeding 660,000. It was therefore important for the company to select a dependable software partner that would let them maintain their current high standards.
