GreenBytes Named a Virtualization Trailblazer

GreenBytes (News - Alert), a developer of full-featured virtual desktop solutions, was reportedly named a ‘Virtualization Trailblazer’ at the 2012 Tech Trailblazers Awards.

Tech Trailblazers comprise an award that is reportedly the enterprise tech world’s independent representation of the discovery of the hottest new enterprise tech innovations from around the world. Not only does the award recognize startup innovation, but it is devised to help these young entities grow their businesses through exclusive coaching, mentoring and development from VCs and major CTOs.

GreenBytes supposedly won the 2012 Virtualization Tech Trailblazer award for its IO Offload Engine.

Rick Petrocelli, founder and director at GreenBytes remarked, “GreenBytes is absolutely thrilled to win the top prize in the Virtualization category at the first-annual Tech Trailblazers Awards. This recognition further validates our ongoing efforts to pave the way for cloud-scale desktop virtualization adoption, with a clear focus on delivering a full-featured virtual desktop environment that is second to none in performance and end-user experience.”

GreenBytes claimed that its purpose-built IO Offload Engine is the industry’s only integrated platform to enable vendor-agnostic, cloud-scale VDI deployments. Capable of delivering unprecedented enterprise-scale VDI performance to meet the most demanding use cases, the solution enables organizations to minimize costs and deliver custom per-session settings, all while retaining their existing architectures.

In a virtual desktop environment, the IO Offload Engine integrates at the hypervisor level and is capable of blending massive bandwidth, low-latency high-IO de-duplication, compression and tight integration with VMware and Citrix.

Rose Ross, founder and organizer of the Tech Trailblazer awards, added, “On behalf of the international judging panel, I would like to congratulate all the winners of the first-annual Tech Trailblazers Awards. We were truly impressed by the ingenuity shown in the entries, Prezis and YouTube (News - Alert) videos. Winners of this year’s Tech Trailblazers Awards are some of the most inventive and visionary enterprise tech startups in the world today. I’m sure we will be hearing more from them all in the future.”
