Zenith Infotech (News - Alert) offers several solutions that are exciting in the cloud space. I recently sat down with Jonathan Higgins, cloud product specialist at Zenith, to talk about its TigerCloud solution, its true hardware-as-a-service program and more.
The TigerCloud solution was released in the summer of 2012 after six months of beta testing. According to Higgins, it has received tremendous attention and reviews. TigerCloud is a combination of hardware and software, a management console for virtualizing servers and desktops.
In addition, the company has announced a program called true HaaS, or true hardware as a service. For a fee, customers can rent equipment for as long as they like, purchasing at any time. The program is in proof of concept phase right now, and Zenith is currently deciding how to roll it out. The company also has a traditional backup disaster recovery appliance scheduled for launch soon.
In terms of industry trends, Higgins sees that small and medium businesses want to automate their backup, getting it offsite for safekeeping. If these companies have a server that goes down, they want to virtualize in a matter of minutes, getting business up and running again. Especially in verticals like financial and small manufacturing, the technology can’t be down for very long.
Zenith also works in the telepresence space, providing high definition video teleconferencing solutions for small and medium businesses. The company has started to get traction, as businesses are getting used to deploying HD videoconferencing solutions. All in all, it has been a very exciting year for Zenith Infotech, and the future stands to be a bright one as its various offerings gain traction throughout the business world.
