DCCA Secures ISO 20000-1:2011 Certification

An ISO certification is important for a company for many reasons. It enhances the reputation of a company, it allows a company to get more revenue and business and it improves the product and service quality of the company.

Data Computer Corporation of America (DCCA), a veteran-owned high-technology consulting firm that provides information technology (IT) services for the government, has secured International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 20000-1:2011 certification.

The company has earned this certification for its data center management and technical support services. The company provides engineer data environments by deploying data sources from legacy systems and also newly operational systems.

This method allows the company to provide all related data/information to its customers Users can achieve a single "federated" query with this method.

The ISO 20000 certification is among the various standards and framework components of DCCA's quality management, business and process improvement systems. It has adopted Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) best practices, and has also secured the Software Engineering Institute's Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) standard.

“DCCA is part of an elite group of well established organizations certified to the ISO 20000 internationally-endorsed standard, with demonstrated experience implementing ITIL best practices," said David W. Bower, CEO of DCCA. "With this ISO 20000 certification, DCCA continues to display leadership in IT service management.”

In 2011, the company won a five-year, $15 million contract by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). According to the company, it won the contract with the help of its Enterprise Systems Development ID/IQ vehicle. The company will also offer support for CMS' Medicare Advantage program reimbursements. The company has been offering support for CMS' Medicare Advantage and other Managed Care programs for more than 15 years and also completed a legacy system redesign.
