Condusiv Technologies Announces Results of V-locity 4 Testing

With an unprecedented amount of digital data created by companies and users all over the world, data storage is creating more problems than benefits for IT mangers. The I/O (input/output) data problems are slowing down development and increasing cost for many companies.

Condusiv Technologies, formerly Diskeeper Corporation, has published the results of the benchmark testing of its V-locity 4, Virtual Machine (VM) Acceleration software for VMware and Microsoft (News - Alert) Hyper-V virtual platforms.

The report looks to concentrate on the affects I/O problems can have on storage hardware. It also tries to look at ways to optimize I/O.

The report also suggests ways to get rid of I/O problems and realize full return on investment (ROI). The company provides products to eliminate I/O problems, such as with a V-locity 4 VM accelerator, which improves performance up to 50 percent.

The product does not even need additional storage hardware.

“Applications, mobile devices and Big Data are creating tremendous amounts of digital information. The new I/O explosion needs to be managed, or the benefits of virtualization will be old news and the CAPEX investment in virtualized enterprise wasted. While virtualization provides our customers with the agility and scalability required to meet increasing data challenges and helps with cost savings, it is creating a growing I/O bottleneck problem,” said Jerry Baldwin, CEO at Condusiv Technologies.

Recently, the company unveiled Undelete 10, real-time data protection and instant data recovery.  Allowing IT departments and select companies to get back their deleted files in seconds anywhere across the network, the Server, Professional and Client editions of Undelete allow users to watch the contents of Recovery Bins on remote computers like file servers.

Now, when a user mistakenly deletes a file from the server, there’s no need to spend hours looking for backup tapes or Windows Shadow copies.
