Bitrix Unveils New Version of Bitrix24 and Bitrix Intranet

Bitrix, a developer of advanced business communications platforms, is taking an important step toward heeding the needs of small businesses, and releasing new versions of its on-premises and cloud-based Intranet solutions for SMBs – Bitrix Intranet and Bitrix24.

The new versions come with a new CRM and GUI, and offer free mobile apps for iOS and Android (News - Alert) which support messaging, push notifications, event scheduling, and the management of documents and various tasks.

Businesses are struggling with the adoption of large-scale social enterprise tools. Bitrix’s experience has been just the opposite; the company’s clients are noted to be very engaged.

About 60 percent of Bitrix24 accounts are reportedly active during off hours and on the weekends. Bitrix believes the release of the mobile apps helped it to increase the number of active product users by 30 percent already.

"We've experienced explosive growth within past six months with over 15,000 small business signups. We now have apps for every major OS - from Windows and Mac desktop apps to iPhone and Android, something that our clients have been asking for. Moreover, both products now have a revamped CRM and integration with Twitter (News - Alert) and Facebook," Dmitry Valyanov, president of Bitrix, said in a statement.

The improved CRM module now includes Activities for planning and managing daily tasks related to sales or customer care. Other improvements include the ability to share files with outside users, and several new employee engagement tools like polls and appreciation badges for individual employees or entire departments.

Bitrix' flagship products are Bitrix Site Manager, a website management and e-marketing solution; Bitrix Intranet, social-enabled collaboration and communication suite for increasing workforce productivity, motivation and awareness; and .NET (News - Alert) Forge, a solid platform for developing comprehensive web-based business applications.

Bitrix24 is its latest launch, a social intranet platform designed specifically for small businesses with the idea that the cloud-based service offers an all-in-one collaboration, communication and management tool.
